When It Rains, It Pours... Right On My Head.

In my quest to keep this an 'anonymous' blog, I've discovered that I am severely limiting what I can post about. And that sucks. Big time. On the other hand, the anonymity allows me to post about things I wouldn't allow myself to do if my real name were actually somewhere on this thing.

Really, though... there are two things happening right now that I can't blog about, and they are pretty big things in my life. (Don't ask me to tell you, because I won't.) I'm just extremely frustrated, and I'm pretty helpless to do anything about it. Gah.

Oh, and guess what I received in the mail today? A jury summons. To report Monday. As in YESTERDAY. Holy Hell. I can't catch a break.

Hopefully, I won't be going to jail for skipping out of jury duty... considering, I DIDN'T EVEN GET THE BLOODY SUMMONS UNTIL TODAY!!!

Okay. I think I'll stop screaming now. I'm going to go crawl into the fetal position and cry for a while.

Argh! I hope you're not actually called to serve. I got summoned about 18 months ago, and never had to show up. Whee! Maybe the same thing will happen to you. Fingers crossed!

It's difficult working out what is totally personal and private and what's postable, even in watered down fashion.

If you do end up being a prospective juror, make sure you loudly and often - tell everyone that your therapist says it will be really good for you trying to make rationale value judgements again - 'says it will help with the delusional episodes after having been a victim of crime!

That should help the defence attorny bypass you!

I hope 'stuff' sorts itself out for you. Nothing is ever wasted!

I feel for you, sometimes it feels like it's just one thing after the other! You'll get through it, you're a tough cookie! :-)

As for jury duty, I've always wondered about that and even wished to be called - I know I'm a freak (and I even post about it! - me being a freak that is!)

nabbalicious: let's hope so. I just can't imagine sitting through some of the assault or murder cases. *shudder*

Thanks, revvy. :-)

stinkypaw: I have been on a jury once... and it was a good thing, too. Apparently, I was the only who knew anything about math. The rest of the jurors were about to award a defendant 3 times what he should have been given for compensation... actually, now that I think of it, that might make for a good post someday. Stay tuned. ;-)

wire: yes, I am a cookie. I big, fat chocolate chip cookie... warm and slightly melty. (I know "melty" isn't really a word... just go with it).

wire: Haha! BioDome. And the Safety Dance. You're just a treasure trove of memories!
