Guess what THIS is!?!

No, it is not a lamp.

If you guessed "The spot in your house that you cleared out for the Christmas Tree that STILL ISN'T UP!"-- you win 10, 000 points. Instead of a tree, there are spare computer parts and two empty dog crates that someone (who shall remain nameless) put in the empty spot when he should have been helping me PUT THE TREE THERE.

It's December 16, and my tree is not up. *hangs head in shame* That, and now that spot looks so blah and cluttered... it's killing me. Really.

IF ONLY you could see my and Matt's apartment. We're clean hygenically, but if you saw it you'd wonder.

And there's no room for my tree this year. *weeping*

Same here in regard to cleanliness... although, I'm starting to wonder about the hygienic part, too. I have GOT to get a handle on the cleaning around here (or hire someone to come do it).

I actually had to work really hard to frame that picture so that you couldn't see the rest of "the mess." *sobbing*

Get your tree up! We put ours up on Dec 2 or 3 or something like that. Whatever the first weekend in Dec was. We have a real tree each year, I love having a real tree, we only started getting real trees when i was about 17, before that it was alluminium.

Just whack some tinsel on it, find an angel or 2 somewhere (preferably made from tin) and you can call it an industrial Christmas tree, inspired by Ikea. VoilĂ !

You all are so funny!

We usually have our tree by December 10 at the latest. AND.... we get a real tree. We have a fake one, just in case. This year, all the stores sold out of the real trees about two weeks ago... no lie. So, now we have to go with Plan B, but it's still in its box in the storage. Farm Boy, Westley will be putting it up tomorrow, or he's going to have some 'splaining to do!

I didn't even have an idea for a tree by Dec. 15, and I just said screw it. I'm gonna get one on deep discount after Christmas and save it 'til next year. I mean, an artificial one. Although a real one might make the basement smell good ...
